WINES

The Travelling Barrel

In earlier times, farmers would sell their barrels of wine directly to restaurant owners in Porto.
It was an exclusive wine, never reaching the general public. Today, Casa da Réssa revives this tradition — but gives it wings: the wine that once poured only in local tascas and restaurants now crosses oceans to earn a place of honour at tables in New York, London, or Paris.

Yet the spirit remains unchanged. Each barrel, each blend, is crafted to preserve that sense of exclusivity.
To taste a Casa da Réssa is not merely to drink wine — it is to share the soul of the Alto Douro, bottled and carrying the territory’s timeless imprint.
